Work that is minimal in both form and surface
Maggie and Tom Jaszczak are currently sharing an artist in residence position at Penland School of Crafts. Previously they were both artists in residence at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana. Their work is made separately but aligns with its minimal and rustic aesthetic. Both artists' work is made of red clay, but Maggie's work is fired in a reduction atmosphere to cone 01 and Tom's work is fired in a soda kiln to cone 2. Maggie has an MFA in Visual Art from the University of Minnesota and is originally from London, Ontario.
