Functional stoneware, wheel-thrown and altered

I like blue collar pots that do the every day work of carrying, containing and delivering; but at the same time 'step out,' and are active in the mind and imagination. I like pots that make good use of the constraints of utility and push against those boundaries too: Pots that entertain some dicey possibilities. In my own studio I hope for pots that have qualities of sensuality, empathy, humor and risk.
