Work that is minimal in both form and surface
Tom and Maggie Jaszczak are currently sharing an artist in residence at Penland School of Crafts. Previously they were both artists in residence at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT. Both of their work is made separately but aligns with its minimal and rustic aesthetic. Both work is made of red clay, but Maggie's work is fired in reduction atmosphere to cone 01 and Tom's work is fired in a soda kiln to cone 2. Tom holds a BS in Biology/Chemistry and BA in Visual Art from Bemidji State University and is originally from Minneapolis, MN.
